Folds shut. Useful if the handheld lives in a bag.

- 8-bit and 16-bit. Game Boy, GBA, NES, SNES and Mega Drive are the everyday use. A pocket unit handles them.
- PS1. Still fine on these Linux handhelds. Check the screen size if you want the picture larger than a phone.
- PSP and up. Move to an Android handheld. Retro units are the wrong tool for that library.
- A card with games. The shop can load, test and sort a card before you collect the unit.
Questions
Horizontal or vertical?
Horizontal feels like a small controller. Vertical is easier to pocket. Both are in the shop, so hold each one.
Do I need to know Linux?
No. The shop can set the card up. You mainly pick games from a list.
Can I add my own games later?
Yes. Bring the card back, or copy files yourself if you already know how. Ask which card size the unit takes.
